Horse stables - gallery edition

"Horse stables"
65 x 35 cm
Oil on linen canvas

I felt that the pleinair painting I painted from this building, yesterday, was a bit too small in size and I wanted a bit more horizontal space to really show this beautiful old building for you.
I also added some details that i did not include in the first version.
There is also a challenge to not to over work a new versio. Thats why i painted the same way that i painted in the landscape. Please check out the previous post for the work n progress shots.
Colors and the values are also identical to the original sketch.

The drainage feature of stable mat is superb.

Thank you very much Bryan! I just feel so compelled to paint all those old buildings, they do have a lot of character.

That hat is just a felt hat blank from Greenhow's Store in Colonial Williamsburg's historic area. It's what you would use to make a bi-corn'd or a tri-corn'd hat. Or you can leave it like it is for a nice.please visit http://goo.gl/rIhMM0
